PHILADELPHIA, November 17, 2011
This coming Sunday, November 20, runners will race through different environments, each with their own identity, their own rhythms, and their own restaurants and bars serving beer. As they might want, runners will not be able to stop for a beer along the way, especially since the establishment of the liquor license in Philadelphia may not be legally served until 11 a.m. on Sundays. They and their audience will want to take note of the many settlements and large beer that they have to offer.
Lace up Your running shoes, or drinking shoes if You prefer, and follow along for a tour of this drinking beer along the marathon route in Philadelphia.
The starting line, midpoint and finish line of the Philadelphia Marathon is all located on one of the most magnificent sites of the city, the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Franklintown, Fairmount, and rim's Art Museum and the Ben Franklin Parkway leading to landmark museum. They are home to some of the most stable city residential streets and restaurants scenes from the past 10-20 years.
As the race heads west across the city for nearly 2 1/2 mile on Chestnut Street, runners will pass near some place that it is highly recommended for fueling with beer. No, maybe, more highly acclaimed than monks Caf
